Mod Podge Craft – Photo Frame Gift – Supplies
All of the items used in this craft was bought at Micheals. Supply list costs are from there, so if you buy from somewhere else it may cost more or less. The list is for making two frames as shown in the above image. ** means I had item on hand **
2 – Wooden Clip Photo Frames – $1 each
2 – Sheets of Scrapbook Paper – $.69 each
Mod Podge **
Paint Brush **
Total Cost for entire project $3.38 if you had to buy Mod Podge and Paints it would then cost you an est $10 with Mod Podge costly roughly $6 and the paint costing $.69. Still, even if you had to buy all the items you’d be creating a beautiful gift for only $10.
Mod Podge Craft – Photo Frame Gift – Directions
Trace the frame on the backside of the scrapbook paper, make sure you mark the place where the clip is. Do this for both frames, then cut out the shape.
Paint the front of the frame with a layer of Mod Podge and place the scrapbook paper on top aligning the sides and the hole you made for the clip. Push firmly into place and smooth out any air pockets with your fingers, credit card or ruler. I used my Cricut tool shown in the above image.
Mod Podge Craft – Photo Frame Gift – Directions Continued
Repeat the above step for the second frame. Set aside for drying. Meanwhile, clean up the paper etc and get your paints ready.
After allowing the front to dry for a few minutes it’s time to give the front some texture and paint the sides, back of the frames. I used an off-white for both of the frames I did. To add texture dab your brush into the paint them dab it along the edges of the front of the frame. Creating little brush lines. Do this for both frames.
Next, you’re going to paint the sides, back and the little peg that comes with the frame. Let dry then add another layer of Mod Podge to the front of the frame. Set aside to completely dry.
