I have been looking at Cricut Machines for a couple of years now. Each time the Hub’s says I should get one I come up with excuses on why I shouldn’t! Well guess what? *does a funky little dance around the room* I am a happy owner of a Cricut Explore Air 2 Mint Machine. It was the Hub’s doing I promise!! He secretly bought it for me for Christmas. It was a pretty hard secret to keep too! I’ll share in a second why. It’s so pretty isn’t it?
Cricut Explore Air 2 Mint Machine – almost not so secret
Ok like I said above this was my secret Christmas gift from the Hub’s. It wasn’t an easy secret to keep either! So let me explain a bit of the story behind this beauty. You see Amazon and I have been close buds for years now. It’s my one stop place to search for all the items I want to buy or dream of buying. This past October the Hub’s found Amazon and . . . well I now call him an Amazon shopping ho . . . I know so wrong of me . . . right? But it’s true every other day there was a new Amazon box on the stoop with his name on it! Seriously!!
During the holidays Amazon was one of the places we did a lot of our shopping. Now here’s the funny part of the story, the day he was actually ordering my beauty I was also ordering things from Amazon. Apparently he kept noticing that things were being added to the cart, and realized I was shopping too. I was shopping away and was adding things not even noticing that the cart went from 6 items to 0. Until . . . I clicked on the cart and noticed it was empty. That’s when his text came through, asking me to stay off Amazon because he was trying to get one of my gifts.
Anyways it was pretty funny at the time, both of us adding things to the cart, then him deleting it all and me thinking Amazon was messed up. Oh. . . I wasn’t allowed to open the boxes when they came either. You can imagine how much I wanted to open the biggest, heaviest box of the year when it arrived. But I behaved and put it aside for the Hub’s. It was the season for being nice anyways … so I had to make the naughty side of me behave. Yes! It was tough! But worth it!! Christmas morning it was the last gift to be opened mostly because it was behind all the other gifts!
Cricut Explore Air 2 Mint Machine – My first thoughts
My first reaction to my new toy was to think of the cost! It’s an expensive item that will cost even more money to actually us it. Which is one of the reasons I’ve put off buying one for years! I have slowly warmed up to it. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love my beauty!! But … like I said we are going to have to shell out more money to use it.
Unboxing the Cricut Explore Air 2 took longer than average
It took me a week to unbox it, and up until Wednesday of this past week it has been just sitting there. I finally made the space, and started reading newbie tips and tricks. If you’re going to get a Cricut or have one and doing the same thing I have done, then I suggest you read newbie tips and tricks before purchasing supplies. There are so many tips/tricks/hacks that work great with Cricut machines which will help save tons of money! I’ll share some of them a little later once I’ve actually tested them for myself.
