I’ve been on a mission to see how many knock-offs of the expensive decor I could make using Dollar Store finds. Today I am here to share how I made an Anthropologie Jingle Bell Wreath Knock Off. It’s a simple but tedious Christmas craft which didn’t turn out too bad. What do you think?

Directions:

Start by removing all the jingle bells from the boxes, and the tag from the metal wreath frame. Cut 8 – 24″ pieces of the floral wire and fold in half. You’ll probably have to cut more, but I started off with 8 so I didn’t have to keep stopping.

Next, you’re going to loop the wire around the metal wreath and pull the loose ends through the circle. See image below for example. Then wrap one end toward you and the other away from you, this will draw the wire tighter to the frame. Now, add a silver jingle bell to one strand of the wire you just added to the frame.

Basically, slip the wire through the little loop on the back of the jingle bell, and pull it tight, then wrap it around the frame and back through the loop of the bell. You’ll do this three times to help secure the bell to the wreath. Shown in image below. Once you’ve secured the bell, add another silver using the same method. When you’ve got 2 silver bells together, you’re going to add one gold bell, then 2 silver until you’ve added all your bells.

After you’ve gotten all the bells attached to the metal frame, you can play around with the placement of your bells. Just gently twist them around until they are the way you like.

Create a bow using the wired edged ribbon. I did a double bow for mine because the ribbon I found wasn’t as wide as I wanted. I also couldn’t find any dark blue like the Anthropologie one, but like the green ribbon, I did find. After you’ve created your bow using some of the floral wire attached it the top part of your wreath. Hang and enjoy your beautiful Anthropologie Jingle Bell Wreath Knock Off.

Even with me buying my metal wreath frame at Michaels I still only spent $12.50 to make this Anthropologie knock-off decoration. I also didn’t check the size of theirs prior to shopping and bought a 14″ frame instead of a 12″. The 12″ frame was only $2 so I could have spent even less if I had checked that prior to shopping.

This was an easy craft but it’s a bit time consuming. You’re basically sewing each jingle bell onto the metal frame, so that is why I mentioned above it’s tedious.

The difference?

What’s the difference between mine and theirs? Not much really!
1 – The price! I spent $12.50 to make mine and theirs cost $128. Oops!!
2 – Jingle Bells are slightly different. Big deal? Not so much!
3 – Theirs has a blue velvet bow and mine a green one. Big deal? Not so much! But if you wanted the blue velvet bow you can get the ribbon at Michaels or Walmart for about $6. Even buying the velvet ribbon you’re still spending less than $20.
4 – Mine is bigger, which I wished I had checked the size first. But either way, I think it didn’t turn out too bad.
